And Now The Silly Chick Is Gonna Marry A Square • • • • • (bewertet mit 5 von 5 Punkten) Alle meine Rezensionen ansehen Rezension bezieht sich auf: Singin' in the Rain/High Society [VHS] [UK Import] (Videokassette) "High Society" and "Singin' In The Rain" are both wonderful musicals, although "Singin'" is by far the better of the two. As for "High Society," it is a remake of the immortal "The Philadelphia Story." While "High Society" cannot hold a candle to its predecessor, it is worth owning for entirely different reasons, all of them musical. With a cast of musicians like Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, and the man himself, Mr. Louis Armstrong, one doesn't need to say anything else. "Singin' in the Rain" stands as the greatest musical ever made, not that the music or story is so much better than other musicals, but in this movie it all comes together to create a synergy, an effect, a fusion of all the elements it takes to make one of the finest films ever.
